The Company
Society had changed, women’s employment and the associated need for childcare places had increased dramatically and the shortage of childcare places for children of all ages was great. There was a growing awareness that the quality of early education plays a very important role in the success of further education and, at the same time, in a world characterised by international relations, there was an increasing demand for institutions providing bilingual education and upbringing from early childhood.
This gave rise to the idea of establishing a day care centre that could meet the needs of working parents and their children.
2004
In 2004, the concept for such a day care centre was developed and implemented by Dr. Martina Dorner. The main pedagogic focus is bilingual childcare in the crèche, kindergarten and primary school. Since its foundation Kids Camp gGmbH has been a recognised voluntary welfare organization.
Kids Camp Königstein opened in September 2004. Today, 95 children are cared for here.
The work of Kids Camp gGmbH was soon extended to the city of Frankfurt where, today, Kids Camp gGmbH runs two facilities: Kids Camp Tel Aviv Platz in the Europaviertel with 100 children and Kids Camp Kennedyallee in Frankfurt-Sachsenhausen with 60 children.
2008
On 08.08.2008 the Kids Camp Bilingual Primary School and its Pre-school opened in Königstein.
2014
The popularity of the bilingual day care centres and school continued to grow. On 01.06.2014, Kids Camp Schneidhain, a crèche with 44 places for children under 3, was opened.
2021
The youngest facility, Kids Camp Main Park, has been in operation since 01.02.2021. Here, 34 childcare places are offered.
Today, Kids Camp gGmbH cares for and educates a total of over 600 children in its day care centres and school. 120 pedagogical staff members dedicate themselves to the children every day and ensure reliable care, good education and upbringing and lots of fun and joy every new day.
Many companies have booked places at the Kids Camps for their employees. Since 2007, there have been good cooperative relationships with various companies.
